I've worked on BF2 and Frontlines. We used Mercenaries as an example of how to do and how not to do certain things. But one thing that always impressed me with the series was their reliance on choice, open world game design, and destruction. Looks like they've taken it to the next level with this one.

I hope it pans out. Mercenaries 1 wasn't a favorite game of mine personally, but i recognize what they were doing and the game certainly had its fans within our company. I hope they can maintain this level of action during actual gameplay.

If it turns out to be as fun as Crackdown - it is an instant buy for me.
The open world design and co-op part definitely makes it sound promising.
(I never tried Merc1 so hopefully that doesn't matter).
