The lighting and particle effects in those screens look fantastic. And from what I've heard, this will likely be even more fun than the first (which was already sweet to begin with).

I like how they're going for a certain mood with the lighting, but it's kind of unrealistic. It should be brighter. And it always kind of bothered me how there are no 'sun glints' off of anything, even when the object is in direct sunlight, like your gun, or a car windshield. It's like everything has a matte texture to it. It makes it really hard to distinguish between objects on screen.

I hope they take a cue from the Oblivion Lost mod with stealth and enemy detection. In vanilla STALKER it was damn near impossible to sneak up on a group of guys (even at night w/ no flashlight). Somehow they'd spot you 100 yards away in pitch black night and open fire on you.

With the Oblivion Lost mod, I can now play like Sam Fisher with my nightvision goggles on and a silenced rifle, and medthodically pick off unsuspecting bandits and soldiers.
