Xbox 360 Price Cuts Imminent?

8
Rumors of a $50-80 slash on several Xbox 360 SKUs are appearing to prove true, as a new RadioShack flyer (pictured left) seems to confirm the earlier reports.

Joystiq notes that several contacts in the retail world have also indicated the reductions are a done deal.

The price cuts, apparently set to take place during the week of September 7, are as follows:

  • Xbox 360 Arcade (No Hard Drive): $199, down from $279
  • Xbox 360 Pro (60GB HDD): $299, down from $350
  • Xbox 360 Elite (120GB HDD): $399, down from $449

Now they just need to lower the price of the 120GB hard drive to something reasonable.

the HDD is usually the price difference between models, so it'll be $100 now, probably will never see the 60 GB for sale.

Agreed. I wasn't interested in the larger HD for a while, mostly because I hate being gouged.

With game installing coming, I've changed my mind. I'm a sucker :(
