You know, this game looks like it'd be really cool and fun. I hope it plays well. I don't care if it doesn't look like Soul Calibur, as long as it is fun.

Oh come on, this is ridiculously cynical license abuse. Konami must really really need the money.

it's funny that you use the word "cynical", when that very word would more describe your post than konami's "license abuse".

If it's fun, and if I have a wii, I will probably buy it, since i love castlevania games.

I would have preferred a new 3d entry personally. If they could capture the essence of Symphony of the Night in 3d I'd be pretty damn happy.

it shouldn't be that hard. Ninja Gaiden and God of War have show that you can have fun, agile characters in a vast platforming 3d landscape, and not have it suck.

In theory yeah. I think the problem is that they probably want to utilize the whip in a 3d space for world interaction but are unable to pull it off.

It reminds me of Metroids move from sidescroller to first person. Some of her powers just could not be used properly in a 3d space and didn't show up in Prime. Frankly it was a miracle in itself that they pulled off platform type jumping in first person. Kudo's to Retro for being able accomplish that.
