Mirror's Edge Extended Gameplay Footage Released

32
Those fresh-feeling Mirror's Edge trailers sure made the game look great, but there's nothing like raw footage to really settle your hype meter.

To that end, Electronic Arts has released some additional footage of the game that made you look up the word "parkour."

Mirror's Edge is expected to hit on PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 later this year. For more on the title, check out our recent preview.

I really hope there's a way to get rid of the red spray on the items of importance. it makes the game seem so easy...

I read somewhere that it is an option you can turn off if you want.

I'm going to turn it off due to being red green colour blind and it actually makes them harder to see >:(

Does being red/green CB mean you can't tell red from green, or do both just appear as gray? (Which I realize would prevent you from telling them apart but what I'm asking is do you seem them in an ambiguous color or gray)

Neither really. I see it as red but it just doesn't "stand out" I guess is the best way to put it. It's as if my brain just doesn't even recognize it's there and forgets about it. I can see red things totally fine on their own (or if they're of a certain size) but smaller things are basically invisible to me.

I can see 1 totally fine, 2 is nothing, 3 is a 70, 4 has a clear 5 for me, 5 the 6 is clear but the 2 very barely stands out.

I'm red/green CB too. I can see red and I can green when they are very bright and intense. But if you put a dull shade of red and green next to eachother I can't tell them apart. They don't look like gray.. it's weird.. sometimes they both look red and sometimes they both look green. I've actually had instance where I thought something was green.. then somebody told me it was red... then I looked again and was like: "oh yeah... you're right.. it IS red" then it looks red to me. Strange but true.

The red areas show you the easiest path, there are other faster paths that are not highlighted in red. This was mentioned in one of the previous articles Shack posted on this game.
