I had seen some clips of shows and seen them on talk shows but last night I actually watched an episode on adult swim. I can't believe there are so many haters, it was hilarious. On the "chubs" sketch when the teacher said "half-boner" I laughed so hard I thought I pulled a muscle in my stomach. Can someone tell me if the DVD of the first season is worth buying?

Latest Chatty Command Line Client
Version 1.0 Beta C is out! I wasn't going to release it quite so soon but the old beta is broken now. Everyone needs this update. Also I figured I might as well release the code now. It still needs some cleaning up but what the hell. It includes a Visual C++ 2005 project for building.

Release notes:
- Resize the terminal window, press any key, and the application will scale the interface to fit. I like 100x35.
- Collapse threads by pressing [Del]. They will sort to the bottom and be displayed in gray.
- Your name now shows up in turquoise in the thread view.
- Press [U] in a thread to pull up a list of URLs in the current post. Press [Enter] or [->] and it will open the selected URL in your browser.
- After replying to a thread, it takes you back to the same thread instead of back to the chatty.
- Refreshing the chatty or a thread no longer moves your selection to the top of the screen.
- No longer gets confused when the API returns the parameters in a different order.

So, as a result of this I've found myself playing my 360 a bit more, since its a lot easier to use the controller w/ the wrist brace than a mouse, and the wrist movements are far less too. Anyway, I picked up DOOM on XBLA, and it's actually pretty sweet (I remember playing the demo a long time ago when I first got my 360 and thinking it was sorta meh -- not the game itself which is one of my favorite games ever, but just playing it on a console w/ a controller instead of a keyboard). It was only 400 points too, which is cheap as hell and exactly what I had sitting around unused on my account too. Best XBL impulse buy ever!
It's kinda interesting because I'm not at all used to playing FPS games with a controller (I can never get the hang of them) but with Doom, since there is really no up/down, and the game was never really designed to be played w/ a mouse to begin with (keyboard all the way baby!), it actually translates over fairly well. In fact, ever since getting used to the familier WASD scheme, I've always found it akward to go back to the arrow keys whenever I would get nostolgic for some DOOM action, which was really disapointing because that was the way I originally played it yet somehow got un-used to it. So the fact that I'm able to go back now and play through it unencumbered is great!
One weird thing though is that the music seems to be a little bit off. It's like they ran it through some kind of different midi synthasizer or whatever. For the most part it's prettt similar, and i'm sure to someone who only casually played doom back in the day they wouldnt notice a difference at all, but there is definitly a difference with the way many of the notes sound. It's nit-picky I know, but ohwells.
I wish they would release Doom 2 for XBLA too! That would 0wn. Also, do any of you homos wanna play some Deathmatch???
Now I can't wait for Duke3D to come out even more. also omg think how awesome rise of the triad would be :O keyboard-only-era FPS games on XBLA ftw! pls to be releasing more ppls kthx!!!
PS: this shit better heal before Diablo 3 comes out God dammit!

Not a big anime fan. I watched some of it as it started getting big in the 90s and pretty much hated all of it. As a preteen I liked Starblazers and Battle of the Planets. As an adult, I've hated most anime that shows up on cartoon network. The only thing I've liked was Blood: The Last Vampire movie that someone sat me down and forced me to watch. The past month i watched Batman Gotham knights and loved the animation style. Especially Field test.
So with that, can anyone recommend me some anime, it's a plus if its on itune?

The other day I came across http://www.cubeecraft.com/ - This guy posts new characters every week; most of them video game characters; some comic, etc. They're Cube based characters you print, cut out, and construct. They look really awesome; extremely high quality. It's actually a lot of fun putting them together, and there are a few tips that'll save you some time. But first, examples:

TIPS:
- Go to OfficeMax, buy 110lb White Card Stock and print on that. My printer handled it perfectly. The paper says its printer safe too. It's a perfect thickness and makes them a lot more durable, especially during cutting and construction. The thicker paper also seems to absorb the ink from Inkjets a bit better than normal paper; the figures seem to "pop" more.
- Use an Exacto Knife / Hobby Knife, etc; especially for the inner corners and slits. I've actually been using a small box cutter and its worked really well.
- DON'T CUT YOURSELF
- The difficulty ratings are on each figure before you download the print; the Scissor rating. I started with a 3 and didn't have any issues.
- While you're cutting and building, have the original print out for reference; it's easy to miss cutting some of the little details (like on the figures where you need to cut part of the hands to make them stick out of the body).
And finally: Post pics!
-Take your time; luckily these are build in pieces (body, head, arms), so if you do rush and screw up, you don't have to back track too much.

1. i will be on vacation in new york at the beginning of september. to keep the cost low, i booked a hotel in brooklin (red carpet inn, next to subway station halsey street). usually i am not someone who puts many thoughts to security issues but i read somewhere that it might be not so safe to use the subway at evening/night. is that true?
2. i am planning to buy a mobile navigation device (garmin edge 705). any shops to recommend for buying something like this? does best buy offer things like that?

Phonte and Nicolay are putting out a new Foreign Exchange project some time this year. They just put up a video trailer for the project, and while it does not actually reveal any of the tracks, it does set up the album thematically, just as it showcases some of Nicolay's absolutely wonderful production work.
Apparently Phonte (The greatest living rapper) will be taking more of a singing role this around. After his crazy Percy Miracles stuff, and his recent guest appearances on various albums, I don't think anyone can complain though!

For me it's either Michael Johnson making a mockery of the 200m world record in 1996, or Carl Lewis and team breaking the 4x100m world record in 1992, both records that still stand to this day. I get goosebumps just thinking about both of those runs.
