LittleBigPlanet Trailer Shops at Wal-Mart

I've been impressed by the graphics ever since I first saw them. The lighting and materials look photorealistic.

Man ... I went hands-on with this game at Lollapalooza (they had an air-conditioned tent set up just to promote Little Big Planet) and I was not impressed.

They actually disabled the editors in that build, and all that was left was the platforming ... and man, the platforming totally sucked. Your avatar "automatically" jumps between different foreground layers, so you only get to control left and right. The primary action is a "grab" button but you never know what you can grab onto. The character physics were OK when running around, but the jumps felt floaty and you couldn't really judge your distance. And you never knew if your character was going to land where you wanted or "automatically" switch layers.

Throw in the world's least-intuitive popup menu and I'd call it one of the most frustrating platformers I've ever put my hands on.

Again, editing was flat-out disabled, so I don't know if that part of the game will make up the difference. And maybe the community will design levels that are actually fun to play. But I was seriously not impressed by my time with LBP.

what's everyone hyping this game for? i finally watched a video for it and it looks like a kids games or maybe its for girl gamers.

Gosh people, it's marketed to look like a platformer but that doesn't mean it is one, yeah that sounds redundant but it's trying to show all the variety of things you can do, how can you guys not see the potential in all of this?

Also, the reason it says pre-order at wal-mart is because there's 5 different things you can get, depending on where you pre-order, which sucks because if you want all 5 you gotta pre-order it 5 times.

This game looks so fucking stupid but i'll probably still buy it because of the hype. :[

how does the camera zoom work in the game? I saw like so many different angles and zooms in this trailer. Does the player control that?

that looks fun. i hope it's not a walmart exclusive. also, the expressions on those little guys kill me.

I still don't know what the hell is going on in this game.

I'm actually considering buying a PS3 just for this and Blu-ray. There isn't so much that interests me on the system... but I feel that I need to play this game.

I hope to be able to play this game with some shackers...

Can PS3 games be a partial Blu-ray release as well?
What does that mean a full Blu-ray release?
