Burnout Paradise Getting Downloadable PS3 Release

7
Criterion Games' open-world racer Burnout Paradise (PS3, 360) will hit the PlayStation 3's online PlayStation Network this coming fall as a downloadable title, publisher Electronic Arts announced today.

Priced at $29.99, Burnout Paradise's downloadable incarnation will include all of the features and content available in its Blu-ray retail release, which hit store shelves in January of this year. The game marks the first PlayStation 3 title to make the leap as a downloadable game following a traditional retail release.

Since its debut, Criterion has provided several content updates for the racer. The latest update, codenamed "Cagney," brought three new online game modes upon its release last month. The forthcoming "Davis" update, which will offer motorcycles, dynamic weather and night and day day cycles, was recently delayed to September.

That's pretty cool. I'm glad that all PS3s have a hard drive.
Next to the RROD the biggest problem I have with the 360 is that not all of them have a hard drive.

Kind of wish PS3 hard drives were a little bigger, like twice as big on average. You run out of space pretty quick with two or three HD movies and a few large installed games.

At least it looks like its pretty easy to fix without voiding a warranty or having to get a part at a price premium?
