The Behemoth's downloadable beat 'em up Castle Crashers will sell for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) when it hits Xbox 360 on August 27, the developer confirmed today.

"The price for Castle Crashers will be 1,200 Microsoft points," artist Dan Paladin revealed on the studio's official blog. "Domo arigato Mr. Roboto."

The long-in-development hand-drawn Xbox Live Arcade game had previously been listed for $22.50, or 1800 Microsoft Points, though both The Behemoth and publisher Microsoft quickly clarified that the price point had not been finalized at that time.

Sweet, this is the biggest XBLA I've been looking forward to for quite a while now.

1,200 points is now the new 800 points. Wouldn't be surprised in the least to see Duke3d priced likewise when that hits.

I may be wrong but I think 800 points is the new 800 points. Much like 1200 points is akin to the new 1200 points.

if it means we're getting bigger, more robust games like we have been, i don't have a problem with that. if they start selling shovelware at 1200 they can bite me.

Seriously, this is one of my most anticipated releases this year. It looks like so much fun.
