Metal Gear Solid 4 Ships 3 Million Since Launch; Konami PS3 Revenue Jumps from 1.3% to 57%
by Aaron Linde, Aug 05, 2008 1:22pm PDTSales of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3) led a 16.7% sales jump and massive growth of Konami's PlayStation 3 sales volume, the publisher revealed in its 2009 first quarter financial results.
Kojima Productions' stealth action shooter moved three million units since its June 12 debut, propelling Konami's PlayStation 3 business to 57.3% of its total sales in the quarter ending June 30. The figure shows a massive increase over the same reporting period last year, in which PlayStation 3 software accounted for just 1.3% of sales.
The publisher added that sales of Metal Gear Solid 4 are still "steadily increasing."
Konami reported $656.1M in net revenue for the quarter, showing a 16.7% increase over the same reporting period last year. Profits amounted to $108.6M, or a 65.6% year-over-year increase.

Dont they mean "steadily decreasing"?
I am sure MGS4 sell less now than the 3 first weeks.
