id: Rage to Arrive 'When it's Fun and When it's Done'

Though work on id's open-world first-person shooter Rage (PC, PS3, 360, Mac) is progressing, project lead Tim Willits has revealed that any possible release date is still well in the future.

Asked if Rage would hit in 2009, 2010 or 2011, Willits only responded to the 2011 inquiry, saying that it's "not that far out."

"It's not like we know and we're not saying," he explained to Eurogamer. "It's just, again, it's when it's fun and when it's done. Unfortunately that is the answer I have to give."

With Wolfenstein looking like it's probably a mid-2009 release, I hadn't been expecting it until 2010 anyway.

How can Wolfenstein by a 2009 release? They are setting themselves up for failure. It's been in production for 4 years now. If it's not out by Christmas it could honestly be a commercial flop unless they really pull off good gameplay.

(I don't really care about Wolfenstein :X -- shame on me, I know)
