id: Rage to Arrive 'When it's Fun and When it's Done'
by Chris Faylor, Jul 31, 2008 3:49pm PDTThough work on id's open-world first-person shooter Rage (PC, PS3, 360, Mac) is progressing, project lead Tim Willits has revealed that any possible release date is still well in the future.
Asked if Rage would hit in 2009, 2010 or 2011, Willits only responded to the 2011 inquiry, saying that it's "not that far out."
"It's not like we know and we're not saying," he explained to Eurogamer. "It's just, again, it's when it's fun and when it's done. Unfortunately that is the answer I have to give."

"7:34pm - It's sounding like they've got a large part of Rage done. He's mentioning a few major things that they're close to finishing up, but does this mean the game is almost in alpha? Could Rage make it out this year or early next.
7:36pm - Says they've worked on it for three years. They see the light at teh end of the tunnel, and the home stretch, but home stretch is crunch time. But doesn't want to be here two years from now still talking about Rage."
