Evening Reading

by Steve Gibson, Jul 30, 2008 6:00pm PDT

So we got to see Wolfenstein today which was fun, expect to see a write up on that tomorrow afternoon along with some new screenshots and video of the game. We will also be doing live updates from the keynote tomorrow evening. That starts at 6pm SHACK TIME.

As for the the videogame news around these parts for today:

Lastly, I'm pretty sure my playing Diablo 2 in the evenings has gone beyond just more research. At least I can tell that I'm already tiring of the game again though. That thing sucked me in for a damn long time when it came out.

  • Good MMORPGs

When is the next good (and good-looking) MMORPG going to come out?
Looking at warhammer online, the game seems polished, but it's been in development forever and the graphics are on par with WoW.

Looking at pages like mmorpg.com, mmo vault--these sites list many MMOs as "in development" but many of these games seem to be in production at small studios which will likely never have the means to finish, publish, and support an MMO.

Which in-dev MMORPGs are being made by reputable studios currently?
(KOTOR MMO- BIOWARE?, UNTITLED BLIZZARD MMO?, CHAMPIONS ONLINE - CRYPTIC STUDIOS?)

In 1 or 2 years, I will have time to play an MMO, and I dont want to settle for Warhammer online and its quake 3 graphics. Is there anything on the horizon?
