Publisher Codemasters has released a new trailer for Rise of the Argonauts. Once again narrated by lead writer Rico Sablan, the latest vignette focuses on the action-RPG's "deep story" and supplies new in-game footage.

Based on the old Greek tale of Jason and the Argonauts, the Liquid Entertainment developed title is scheduled to arrive on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 later this year.

I wonder if they think that they're being even remotely innovative with this. Or if they think they're fooling anyone who's ever, I don't know, played a video game before, into thinking there's anything original/new in this game.

      It still looks fun though.

Games don't have to bring something new to the table to be enjoyable.
There's tons of crapware out there that relied on gimmicks to sell the titles and failed.
If the story and gameplay are truly enjoyable then best of luck to them. I grew up reading Greek and Roman mythology and look forward to giving this game a try.

There's "innovative" and then there's "original." I'm picturing a Venn diagram where "original" is a subset of "innovative," as in Unreal Mario Civilization 3 was innovative, but not original yet The Pollenator: Rise of the Bumblebees is both innovative and original.
