QuakeCon! Looking forward to seeing more Rage.

That bit of footage that came out at E3 showed some nice stuff and I imagine that id is

gonna really show some stuff on Thursday. Don't forget to

As for the the videogame news around these parts for today:

Lastly, I spent a fair amount of time over the weekend playing with the

href="http://www.bram.us/projects/js_bramus/lazierload/">prototype and

href="http://www.appelsiini.net/projects/lazyload">jquery plugins for image lazy

loading. The hope is to defer the loading of images lower on the page and further back in

the top story image rotator so that other images get priority and the page loads quicker.

Yet of course, IE is a turd and breaks as you can see here. There

are tons of tweaks and settings that can be done so you dont even see the images fade in

but I have it that way just for debugging. I also spent time with the YUI stuff but that

is pretty much beyond my comprehension. Any web developers out there have good luck with

easily implementing any of these libraries?

  • Need some advices,

    My computer stopped working yesterday and I'm suspecting the motherboard. It's a gigabyte DS3 with a chipset p965.

    It turns on and I see all the fans turning but nothing is displayed on the screen and both my keyboard and mouse stay off. I don't even see the bios loading screen.

    I already tried resetting the CMOS. I've checked all internal connections.

    I don't get any beeps either but that is because my pc case (antec nine-hundred) doesn't have PC speakers nor a pug for it. Is there any other way I could get the beeping sound code?

    Any suggestions?
