Armored Core: For Answer Coming Late Summer
by Aaron Linde, Jul 24, 2008 12:42pm PDTPublisher Ubisoft has revealed that it plans to localize From Software's mech-building action sequel Armored Core: For Answer (PS3, 360) in North America and Europe in its second quarter software lineup.
The news comes from a listing found in Ubisoft's first quarter financial report, in which the title is listed among games slated to release in the company's second quarter running from July 1 to September 31. The title was originally released in Japan in late March of this year.
As the 13th title in From Software's long-running Armored Core series, For Answer incorporates Arms Forts, huge mobile fortresses delivering epic, Shadow of the Colossus-like battles. As always, For Answer also adds the standard-issue selection of new parts and upgrade materials for the game's mechs.
Ubisoft has not yet made an official announcement concerning the game, nor was a specific release date immediately available.

BTW, what ever happened to the english version of Front Mission Online? Last I heard it was almost ready to go into public beta about 2 years ago and then it fell off the map.
Its clear theres a healthy market for mecha games in the US and Europe but with the exception of Chromehounds (which did well) there hasn't been a decent online mecha game in ages. The only ones doing anything interesting is the Mechwarrior: Living Legends mod for Crysis.
