by Chris Faylor, Jul 22, 2008 8:57am PDTFollowing up on the initial batch of postage stamp-sized media, developer Sony Online Entertainment has issued 17 full-sized screenshots from the DC Universe MMO.
Allowing players to fight alongside, but not control, major DC characters like Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern, DC Universe Online is slated to arrive on PC and PS3.
The title will make its playable debut at this week's San Diego Comic Con, with SOE recently telling Shacknews that it will be relying upon player feedback to decide when the action-based MMO is ready for release.

This would be the only thing that I can think of to get me to buy a PS3.
Then again, the fact that it's an SOE product neutralizes even my love of Green Lantern, so probably not.
Oh, and Superman's cape isn't that long. Sure am glad the art direction is by a 90s Image style throwback.

I like how SOE is proud of the fact they *might* not rush the game out in a half-assed state. If history is any indication, this is mostly hot air, but maybe WoW has shown them the benefit of "when it's done."
