'Substantial' Fallout 3 DLC Exclusive to Xbox 360, PC

Bethesda game director Todd Howard just announced that "substantial" Fallout 3 downloadable content will be released exclusively on Xbox 360 and PC.

Due for release this fall, Fallout 3 will hit PS3 in addition to Xbox 360 and PC.

No further details of the DLC were mentioned.

If the DLC is heading in the way of what The Pitt is offering, a new open area, great story, interesting characters, and detailed environments, basically more Fallout 3, then I am fine with it. As long as there isn't another Operation Anchorage experiment, all will be well.

This exclusivity stuff has got to stop. Sure MS paid for the agreement but Bethesda shouldn't even make that an option.

Yeah I know it's all about the bottom line but really this is frustrating. You go and buy a game for your preferred platform of choice and now you can't get content based on that original choice. I'm not slamming MS here for ponying up the cash but rather Bethesda for even offering it.

Bethesda should be charging both Sony and MS the right to have this content and the two giants should be charging appropriately. One should not have the ability to shut the other out.

I mean why don't they put it in the main game? They don't want to hold the release date anymore?

Im sure this is just for expansion pack stuff like NOTN and SI. After all, they would not try and sell DLC scraps to PC gamers that have the construction set, right? Wait...we are getting a CS right?
