  I don't get it, how is this better than a real drum set? It seems just as big. Is it cheaper? Just better for recording?

    It's a million different drum sets all in one.

    Doesn't make nearly as much noise (useful for home recording), and the samples can be switched around so its different kits, percussion, electronic kits etc.

      a guy i played with once changed them all to different variances of "yeah!", "uh!", "alright!" and a distorted power chord.

    um, play into headphones , assign ANY sample to any of the drums, and yes its smaller
