Persona 4 Hits North America on December 9

The latest installment in Atlus' supernatural role-playing series Shin Megami Tensei: Persona will arrive in North America on December 9, the publisher has announced.

In development for PlayStation 2, Persona 4 tasks players with solving a murder mystery set in the Japanese countryside.

As with Persona 3, players must accent their monster-killing ways with a normal "double life," such as attending high school.

The game will also continue Atlus' tradition of a goodie-packed retail release, with a soundtrack CD "featuring selected music from Persona 4" included in every copy.

Sony really blew it when they decided to remove the PS2 support from newer PS3 systems.
That was the feature that most interested me after Bluray.

I'm siked for the game. The trailer that got shown at AX was pretty dope. Really unfortunate that the Q&A at the expo was pretty terrible.

Ok, I've only seen bits and pieces from the 3rd one...do they explain why you have to shoot yourself in the head to cast spells? Were they just trying to be controversial just because? It seemed like a pointless way of going about it.

Is Persona 3 worth buying and dragging out my PS2 for?

I've heard a lot of praise about it from magazines and such but wouldn't mind some more opinions.
