I could care less about this attempt at a story, but I know the game is going to be a blast

How much less could you care? I gotta know!

I'm curious - what's so fun about it? Does it have any kind of depth or do you just run around in 3rd-person perspective blowing crap up? Cause honestly, as fun as that can be for a few minutes, it gets old, really, REALLY fast. So what else is there to this game series?

Again, not asking because I don't like the series or think it's sucky, I'm asking so I can understand why it might be cool to buy it upon release. Thanks.

The other big concern I have is that it looks pretty obviously made for consoles rather than PCs. How do we know that the PC version will be made specifically to its strengths? If the PC version has Button X icons, that's going to be pretty lame.

Have you played the first game? It's basically Grand Theft Auto, except you're a mercenary in a war-torn country instead of a criminal in a corrupt city.

If you truly have no idea about Mercenaries, then just know that is an open-world game exactly like the GTAs, Crackdown, etc... but more military-setting oriented

So if you hate those types of games, then don't bother with Mercenaries. If you love the genre though, Mercenaries is one of the best

Ah, thanks for the warning. I'll probably avoid this, it sounds like something I'd find pretty boring. Thank you, either way, for the info/description.
