Hey All,

I'm a big fan of Sci-fi, and recently decided to start up an online book club. for what I'm thinking, it would be accelerated, with a new book either weekly or Bi-weekly. What do you guys think? Is there any interest in this?

My basic Idea is that people can just hop into the discussion whenever... no need to "join" anything, no commitments, just laid back. The book is decided by vote, and will probably have a page limit of 500 or so. We would announce the book a week ahead of time, have the week to read it, then discuss.

Anyway, if anyone is interested, the forums I made are at www.characterhaven.com We only have 4 or five members so far, but I'm hoping to get more and start reading!

I know a lot of you guys read, so come on by!

Steam problems :(

Grid worked great, but I just finished formatting and now its the ONLY game that wont run! I restored it from backup (from steam backup). It loads the grid logo, and then says "this window was forced to close" and gives me the "do you want to send an error report" "don't send" option.

I'm re-downloading it thru steam now, but is there anything I can do if it doesn't work? how the fuck would it work... then... not, its not like my hardware is any different / same drivers / etc. I'm stumped :(

Hey shackers, nerdy WoW question. Any of you moved from a PvP to PvE server? Anything you miss? I'm thinking of making the jump to a friend's server since my current guild is dying (at 7/9 in BT FFS). I don't think I'll miss the freedom to gank - that's annoying more often than it's fun since the assholes tend to get you when you're half dead from a mob. Plus there's always battlegrounds or running around flagged.

Alternatively, why do you prefer one server type to the other?

It looks absolutely awesome. I can't wait. I am almost (but not quite) as excited for this as I am for The Dark Knight.

Camera menz:

I got a sigma 70-200 f/2.8 lens for my canon rebel. The focusing seems a bit off though, but I don't know enough to know if it's me or the lens.

Are there any tests I can run it through to make sure that it's a good lens?

(I also got a canon 70-200 f/4 lens, but I think I'm going to go with the sigma and return the canon)

Hey everyone, I've been working on an air combat game called Debris for past year or so and we just released 0.3beta. It took us a year to get to 0.3 working on it off an on but now we are getting our development cycle down so updates will be coming a lot faster.

So far it only offers 4 player split screen on one map. We have online play and persistent stats down the road for a later release
