Age of Empires creator Ensemble Studios has released several new screenshots from Halo Wars, its Xbox 360-only stab at a Halo-themed real-time strategy effort.

Expected to arrive later this year, Halo Wars will be on display at this year's E3 Media & Business Summit, which runs from July 14-17. Check back then to see how the title has fared since last year's optimistic showing.

Yeah I think that's what they are going for. A lot of people imagine them trying to put in a ton of scenarios where micro-management is necessary. I don't see why they would. There are console games that have squad control - I don't think this is dissimilar to those games besides the camera perspective.

It really shouldn't apply to this game as it's being designed from the ground up for a console.

It looks cool enough, hope it turns out alright.
