Legendary Trailer Highlights Creatures

A new trailer is now available for Legendary, the fantasy shooter in development at Spark Unlimited (Call of Duty: Finest Hour, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty). The sixty second clip highlights some of the foes you'll be fighting in the game.

Legendary will ship this summer for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Oh look, the usual positivity of gamers shines through yet again on forums. I know nothing about this game, and that fall of liberty game's demo was pretty bad... but these enemies look cool, and I liked the announcer.. it was very reminiscent of old 70s/80s movie trailers.

Weaver rails on all the weapons, but without any scopes (be they permanently attached, or configurable a la Crysis). Sigh. About as useful as the laser on the Quake 3 shotgun.

Well, I thought it looked like fun but then again, I enjoy the fantasy fps niche and there hasn't been a decent game like that to come out since Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. I'm one of those guys who loved all the Hexens and Heretics and even Clive Barker's Undying. If they release a demo, I'd definitely check it out.

The trailer wasn't the best but it looked like it could be fun. It had some cool sequences, especially when the gryphons were picking up cars and flying through the city streets.

It looks interesting, but it feels like it doesn't have enough "emotion"... like at 0:13 when the enemy attacks you to the ground you just grab its head, and then it's movements don't seem to imply that it's actually trying hard to kill you. Or when you get slashed by that one thing in the beginning of the trailer, you barely even twitch. It makes me think of those enemies as "oh they're just annoying enemies which I will kill and move on," instead of, "oh shit that fucking thing is trying to kill me," which happens in a lot of games...
