New NBA Live 09 Media Pivots, Shoots

Publisher Electronic Arts today released new screenshots and a teaser trailer from EA Sports' NBA Live 09, highlighting San Antonio Spurs' point guard Tony Parker as the title's cover athlete.

In development for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360 and PSP, NBA Live 09 is slated for an October 7 launch in North America.

Annually released sports games aren't worth $60 imo. This looks like every other NBA Live game EA's released in the past 5 years.

EA will have done a shit-ton of work if they have gotten this up the smoothness and pure fun of NBA 2K8. I don't really care for basketball, but that game was unbelievable . For me it was the first time I felt that any sports game had really gone "next-gen". I would've really like to have seen a 2K football game on the newer consoles, but I know that will never happen. All-Pro was nice and I had a good time with it, but it was still NFL 2K5 at the core. Not that it was a bad thing, as I still think 2K5 has yet to be beaten as greatest football game of all time (after Tecmo Bowl).
