Shack PSA: Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend

As previously announced, Valve's Team Fortress 2 free weekend is now live, offering free play to those gamers who haven't yet purchased the game through Sunday evening.

The free weekend follows this week's debut of the Pyro class update, which offers three new weapons unlockable via 36 Pyro-specific achievements. The update also includes two community-created maps—including Shacker -sk-'s CP_Fastlane—and a new alternate function for the Pyro's stock flamethrower.

Players interested in taking part need only download the game through a Steam client, with full instructions available at the free trial website.

The free weekends are an invitation for hackers, I already ran into a few today. Thankfully, in TF2 hacks can't wtfpwn an entire server like in CS.

I haven't played TF2 since before the medic patch, but wouldn't this be a bad free TF2 weekend? Aren't people who currently playing going to go heavy on the pyro class?

I've never used Steam before, but I'd like to give this a try. But I have a problem:

My OS-partition is rather small, and it only has a few gigs left of space. But I do have this rather large install/storage-partition where I install all of my games. How do I get Steam to install/download to this space instead of directly to my OS-partition?

I've browsed Steam's settings briefly without finding anything. Any help would be more than appreciated. Thanks.
