More Dead Space Screenshots Descend

14

The monsters of EA Redwood Shores' sci-fi survival title Dead Space sure look creepy and crawly, but are the infected still human? Regardless, these screenshots prove that whatever they may be, those baddies are still quite mortal.

Dead Space is slated to impact PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 31.

So are you saying I should expect originality in FPS games??? Sadly I think the genre is wearing thin.

Correction: I meant to ask whether I SHOULDN'T expect originality in an FPS game.

              FPS/TPS

Let's just call them shooters and be be done with the silly semantics already. And yes, originality in FPS shooter games is pretty hard to come by these days. Doesn't mean a shooter that puts together the tried and true FPS/TPS components can't be a good however.

so i guess that means that you will never play a survival horror/action game again? I mean, since its been done before and all. It's not like atmosphere, gameplay, and graphics have any chance of improving the overall experience since the last time you encountered this scenario.

Your game library must have pretty much stopped accumulating two generations ago.

Its content is familiar but it is content that most people enjoy and if they present it in a new and interesting way sign me up. You have to remember that video games have plenty of room for innovation beyond the "bare bones" of its narrative. How they present that story through any number of things from visuals to controls is what makes the difference!
