Steve, I got a suggestion!

Fix it so that when someone clicks on my name to see my profile it doesn't take them to the 255th person in the database! As it is now I feel like a ghost.

Is it just me, or is it taking a really long time to do anything at the Shack right now? It took me the better part of 5 min to just post a Thank You to Steve. Is the server really lagging or is it that DNS problem Steve mentioned a few posts ago...

Hey Steve, if you have access to how long a person has been a user, why not post that up in the personal profile, like the date they first became a user (not first visit, but when they first reg'd). That would be cool, you can then say how long you've had an account and stuff, I don't know why, but why not? ehh?

qlurker, did you double post on purpose? seems like there is a little bug in the code with double posts popping up fairly often lately.

of course if the shack was to go the way of kde or something like that,then I would be forced to use the linux box ,which I wouldn't mind or something like that,also I just looked and I realize I cannot bind a function to my thumb button , cus I don't have a thumb...... button ,I have two mice /one is an intellieye and the other is an intellimouse -both usb and yes I have both connected at all times.

A whole ten minutes to get thru the stats ,is the shack servers a little slow today or is it just me?

Just so it's not about the # of posts, why not add a word count column to your db (or tally it up as you go) so you can add average post length to the stats.

That way we can seperate lots of small BS posts from lots of large (less BS?) posts. :)

... for each post just keep a record of archane stuff for future stats. Useless stuff like # of links posted, # of times this user had a post nuked, ratio of color use in posts, ratio of posts with the words "shit, fuck, piss, bitch, .." etc..

Doesn't everyone just love useless stats?
