Live Action Turok Film Planned, Stars Adam Beach
by Chris Faylor, Jun 11, 2008 7:17am PDTA live-action movie based on the dinosaur-killing exploits of Turok the Dinosaur Hunter is currently in the early stages of production and will star Adam Beach, the Flags of Our Fathers and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit veteran has revealed.
"We're about to set up meetings to develop a script and put it out there," Beach told MTV News. "I'll have to beef up, and be a good guy, and save the world!"
Beach previously served as the voice of Turok in the recent straight-to-DVD animated film Turok: Son of Stone. That DVD followed the latest Turok game, which was developed by Propaganda Games and arrived on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Though Turok's recent popularity can be traced back to Acclaim's 1997 Nintendo 64 launch title, the property first appeared as a comic book, penned by Rex Maxon, in the 1950s.
