Age of Conan Gets Real World Clothing Line
by Chris Faylor, Jun 10, 2008 11:15am PDTSelf-described "specialist in textile products" Inno-Wear today announced that it has acquired a license to produce clothing based on Funcom's mature MMO Age of Conan.
The company was vague on the specifics of its Age of Conan-branded offerings, which are expected to arrive later this year, but noted that the it will receive "the official marketing support of the publisher."
Inno-Wear is known to create a wide variety of "urban streetwear" for a number of properties, including Trackmania, Gears of War 2 and Devil May Cry. At present, the licensing agreement only extends to European territories.
While Inno-Wear holds the rights for European Gears of War clothing, the license for full-scale armor replicas lies with TriForce Sales.
The fate of the North American distribution rights for Age of Conan-branded clothing is unknown, leaving it unclear if such renowned fashion retailers as Banana Republic, GAP, Old Navy, Abercrombie, or Target will ever carry the latest in style.

I have to admit I'm quite pleased with how AoC is going so far. So I'm all for idiots wearing clothes based off the game and helping the process of funding more development and patches.
