New Sims 2 Expansion Pack, DS Offshoot Plot Domestic Invasion

EA's The Sims division today announced The Sims 2 Apartment Life (PC) and The Sims 2 Apartment Pets (NDS), two new titles coming to EA's ever-expanding life simulation franchise.

Marking The Sims 2's eighth expansion pack on the PC, Apartment Life brings players out of the suburbs and into a bustling apartment building. The expansion includes new social networks, character types, five new building types and a slew of other additions.

The Sims 2 Apartment Pets, meanwhile, brings the thrilling combination of cramped living conditions and pet care to the Nintendo DS. The game allows players to look after a variety of pets such as cats and dogs, snakes, hamsters, and rabbits with the expected load of accompanying minigames.

Both titles will launch in North America on August 26.
