As promised, demos of DICE's shooter Battlefield: Bad Company and Firaxis' strategy title Civilization Revolution are now available for public download on Xbox 360.

Both demos feature samples of their respective games' single-player and online multiplayer components, and both will be available to PlayStation 3 owners later today.

Battlefield: Bad Company is slated to hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 23. Meanwhile, Civilization Revolution arrives on PS3, 360 and Nintendo DS on July 8.

Good news, I had a blast with the BF:BC beta, classic BF formula with a fun twist.

the fov in bc seemed really low to me which bugged me to no end...cod4 was like that for me as well but it didn't seem that bad

really looking forward to civ revolution though

Funny you mention that, because I was going to so the exact same thing. First thing I noticed was that the FOV felt too narrow. While I doubt they'd change something like that so close to release...who knows...maybe they will. Also, I didn't really care for the control mapping. I'll have to look closer to see if that's customizable.

Also played the Civ demo, and it's looking like a buy as well.

I ditto the FOV comment. It really just...felt WRONG to me. Like, wrong enough to question whether or not I'm going to buy it.

Yeah I found the beta very fun. Downloading the demo now, I hope they've fully enabled squad support as in the beta it wasn't completely functional.

There is a squad invite option in custom games. Haven't tried it but it shows which of your friends is online and you can invite them from in game before you launch a game search.

I'm SailorofFortune on XBL by the way.

Awesome, in the beta you couldn't even invite friends to your game let alone a squad :S
