Very cheeky of them to rip on GTA IV, since you just know it's going to be a load of wannabe ass by comparison anyway. Graphically it sucks by comparison and in case they've forgotten, GTA IV isn't just concerned with going bowling, playing darts and watching the in-game TV. What makes GTA IV stand out is the combo of British and American humour that combine in satirising and parodying American culture. Saints Row has to accept defeat in that area in favour of something altogether more "in ya face" and lacking in any subtlety.

One thing that GTAIV will be heads-and-shoulders on is the animation system. I doubt Saint's Row 2 will feature non-traditional animation, as evidenced by a body being pushed by a train, rather than something more gruesome and realistic.

I don't need to choose, I'll buy them both for their own qualities
Personally, I prefer the push for realism that GTA4 is instigating, while retaining the humor and not-so-realistic qualities that make it so enjoyable.
