SF2 HD Gets Earlier Release, New Screenshots

Super Street Fighter II HD Remix has been moved up to a summer release, and to celebrate Capcom sent along new screenshots from the downloadable fighter.

Developed by Backbone Entertainment, SSF2HDR will be sold and distributed through the online storefronts of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Dammit, that arcade stick is gonna be a must buy if you wanna be competitive. X360 or PS3 D-pad? No thanks. Just wish my hulkin X-Arcade stick would work. Sure kicks ass with the emulated versions of all the SF titles.

Every time I see new screenshots of this, I'm instantly twelve years old again, with the same feeling of exploding anticipation I had while waiting for SFII: Championship Edition, SFII: Super, Super Turbo, etc.

Yes, it's just Street Fighter II with a new paintjob, but who cares? The game is damn near perfection as-is. I just wish there was an arcade version (along with an arcade to play it at......)
