Call of Duty 4 Patch 1.6 Released

As had been expected, a new patch for the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is now available, updating the game to version 1.6. The 283mb download offers new server browser filters, and four new multiplayer maps: Creek, Chinatown, Broadcast, and Killhouse.

An update for any of you guys running COD4 Linux Servers....

1.6 Linux is done, the build is in Activision's hands as of late last
night. I don't know what the word is on distribution yet.

If you have the Steam version can you still download the patch elsewhere and play? I heard 1.5 took a week to get on Steam and I don't want to wait. :/

The only thing that still needs to be done is that after a map ends, it needs to tell you what the next map is going to be so that there's a moment where you can go through and make changes to your kits accordingly.

That was the first thing that I noticed when watching my buddy play it on the 360.

I'm all over this! I've been waiting for these maps and the server type filters are something I've been wanting since day one. I hate joining a server and having to ask my buddy what type of server it is so I can pick the correct kit. At least now I'll know before hand.
