Sega just dropped a new trailer of Golden Axe: Beast Rider (PS3, 360), showcasing the game's sun-bleached battlefields and feral mounts.

Based on the classic Sega arcade series, the battle-hardened action title is due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this summer.

Coming into this trailer blind, until they said it was Golden Axe, I would've thought it was Red Sonja: The Game. Of course I wasn't blind, and like others, was expecting Breasts(not Beasts). Oh well... There were some good boobies in Red Sonja, where is that DVD....

It isn't really THAT golden. I will only accept real gold that shines with glitters and stuff. Whenever the player looks at any surface, the screen will go all golden and someone will punch him on his face through the monitor.

watching this knowing nothing, i was really hoping for a cool 3/4 view dungeon crawler that I could play with a buddy on the couch. something that made use of the HD screen space and allowed us to have a good view of the dungeon split screen on a 60" tv.

i mention that specifically because when you play the starwars lego stuff, christ its like shoving your face into the tv its so zoomed in. also they didnt do it very well when you tried to walk in opposite directions. i hate the rubberband feel they create by not allowing the screen to split.

i realize this is an early trailer... but the graphics kinda look like Direct3D running on a Geforce3 Ti200... as others have said i hope elements of the original arcade game are thrown in... coop/dwarves/music... ya know... the stuff that made the original so fun...

They may have taken the "Golden" a little too seriously, as all the environments share the one color. Or is that the "next-gen brown" effect everyone loves. Maybe everyone is trying to save texture space by using grayscale maps and using a brown light...
