Street Fighter 4 Trailer Is Truly Epic

By Chris Faylor, Jun 02, 2008 8:40am PDT This new Street Fighter IV trailer from Capcom is meant to remind us of two things:
  1. The series once utilized 2D pixels, which still look pretty to this day.
  2. Faith No More used to be awesome, and still is to this day.

Street Fighter IV hits arcades this summer, with an online-enabled PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 release expected this winter.

  • I love Streetfighter 2 but seriously... this graphics engine needs much more refinement. The cutaway move that goes black and white @ 00:17 seconds is what I would expect this game to look like. The following 3d change looks so poor on animation design, shadowing, meshing that really seems to be the core game itself. Yes the graphics are not about the game but seriously... if you are going to bring back SF then do it top notch. Examples of poor work that needs greater enhancement - 00:17 Blanka's win animation.. the face has no expression the whole time... Chun Li at 00:37 ... a simple 2d plaster of expression on her face... and lastly a severely stiff yet horrible win animation from Ken at 00:43.

Come on Capcom... Don't halfass this one...
