by Nick Breckon, May 28, 2008 4:05pm PDTUbisoft today announced Raving Rabbids TV Party, a sequel to the minigame series due out this holiday season on Wii and Nintendo DS.
The game will make use of the Wii balance board in "surprisingly unexpected" ways, according to Ubisoft president Yves Guillemot. Judging by the media below, apparently those ways include sitting.

All those mini games that let you to do all kinds of moves.. you don't need to. You don't need to sit on the freaking balance to make it work. You don't need to move your wiimote in a masturbating motion to register an 'up/down' move. Yet this is essentially all those mini games makes you do; Raving Rabbids and Wario Ware are especially guilty of that. Much like you dont' need to do large moves to win at Wii Tennis.
IMO this has zero "gameplay" value. This is roleplaying. This can be fun (at least in multiplayer) but this is definitely not a video game, this is a role playing game. (In the true sense of the word).
Think of it as if a regular game suddenly asked you to bang the buttons on your controller with your foot, or your elbow. Or a dead dog. Same thing.
Indeed this is quite a revolution. Not sure I like it though.. I don't know why I never realized that before.
