Contest: Gaming Highlights of the Shack Community

style="border: medium none ;">As the development of video games marches on, we see not only more complex games, but more ways we can document and record our personal experiences from these games. Screenshots and videos have long been the bastion of PC gaming, but as of late that has even spread to consoles.

Given the array of options for recording our gaming moments, recently we asked our chatty Shackers to submit screenshots of their favorite overall moments in gaming.

We're going to pick two winners to award a three month block of FileShack service, one chosen by the staff, while the other is chosen by you. So if you have a favorite image from this gallery, post a vote here with the link, and we'll go till 11:59 PM CST on Thursday taking nominations for your favorite.

What is the easiest way to record video or screenshots off you consoles?

I doubt there is any cheap way to do this with HDMI.

- Generally you have to hope that the game gives you a function, like Smash Brothers Brawl or Halo 3 : geedeck

I know it's too late to submit, but I thought I'd recount one of the more hilarious game moments I've had. I was playing garry's mod at a LAN with 3 other people or so. We ended up making a giant 50ft robot reaming another one doggy-style, complete with thrusters that made a rocking motion. It was quite hilarious. My friend tried to get a video with fraps but it didn't work right.

Quick and dirty thumbnails. I don't even know if this is useful to anyone, but I had a bit of fun hacking around in Python to make it:
