Guitar Hero World Tour Screenshots Debut

Following up yesterday's trailer and deluge of details, Activision has released the first screenshots from Guitar Hero World Tour along with a render of the game's drum kit.

Commonly referred to as Guitar Hero 4, World Tour adds vocal and drum support to the mix, along with the ability to create custom songs, characters, and instruments.

Guitar Hero World Tour is slated to hit PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and Wii this fall. As with Guitar Hero 3 and Aerosmith, Neversoft is developing the PS3 and 360 editions, with Vicarious Visions on the Wii edition and Budcat handling the PS2 iteration.

This is going to sound stupid to everyone, but one of the biggest beefs I have with guitar hero/rock band is the visuals.

I know your not looking at them and they aren't terrible, I just remember the tv advertisement I saw for guitar hero2(maybe) where it was more 2d/gorillaz music video and the guy was rocking out in the middle of a manhattan looking street while stopping a hurling comet crushing them all with his music.... that's the kind of thing I want to be doing in guitar hero, but maybe it's just me.

Well that'll break any possible compatibility with Rock Band, 5 "buttons" on GH's drums and only 4 on RB.

I'm pretty much a rockband fanboy, but I'm really starting to like the Drum Kit on this game. I really don't like playing the guitar on RockBand, I'm a pure Drums player, and well, that just looks fun as hell.

But I'm so torn, I can't goto Activision, they are just bad people, and having two drum kits is stupid.

Have they said yet whether or not the Rock Band instruments are usable? I'm not having two sets of fake plastic drums, two mics, and four plastic guitars in my apartment. I occasionally enjoy having sex with women.

Once again the game is using the same graphics engine. The one thing I hated about the GH series is its terrible animation. Hopefully, they have fixed it.
