Messiah GONE GOLD

Well, its taken quite a while but according to GoneGold and Interplay, Messiah from Shiny Entertainment has finally gone gold. You can expect to see the game on shelves within a couple of weeks. If you just came out of hibernation and dunno wtf Messiah is, check out these impressive screenshots or even the playable demo that came out a while back.

  • Bah, Messiah still took less time to finish than Daikatana (I think it started a bit later and finished... who knows how much earlier). More importantly, they used their own engine, and one which they could scale without too much trouble (if it had released next year, the characters would have looked that much better).

    As for the fact that characters snap like twigs in the game, I don't mind - it's sort of appropriate that in the really corrupt Messiah world, everyone gets wiped out (and it's always started by someone inside the ranks). At the end, of course, the only one left is a tiny cherub. :)
