Sony Computer Entertainment has unveiled new screenshots of Media Molecule's cutesy and customizable PlayStation 3 platformer LittleBigPlanet.

As reiterated today, LittleBigPlanet is slated for a Blu-ray retail release this October.

Building levels sound cool and all but have they actually ever showed of the, you know, game part of this game? I've heard almost nothing about it, never seen a screenshot with a bad guy, or have any reason to be convinced that the gameplay will be worth a shit.

don't really care for the game as a whole much, but im almost inclined to model and rig my own little version of some of those characters just because they look so awesomely fun to animate
