PixelJunk Eden Media Is Colorful, Purty

Sony Computer Entertainment passed along a new set of screenshots for Q-Games' PixelJunk Eden (PS3), a downloadable title slated for release this summer.

Described as an "organic platformer," PixelJunk Eden is said to feature ten unique stages with stylized graphics, as well as original music from Japanese artist Baiyon.

No price point has been disclosed, though the other downloadable PixelJunk games, Racers and Monsters, are respectively priced at $6.99 and $7.99.

The problem with pretty games like this is they tend to lack severely in the gameplay department. Some of these artist types need to get together with some real gamer types.

I came up through Quake. From Soho down to Brighton, I must've played 'em all.

For my dime, the FPS is over -- done to death, dull as monkey's nuts. Fuck all the army simulators, too.

Time for games to take us to new places. This looks cool, can't wait.
