One More Thing: Viva Pinata 2 Footage

3
Wrapping up the deluge of media from Microsoft's Spring Showcase is this footage of Rare's garden-tending, pinata-rearing sequel Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. It's due out in September, and Maarten tells me that it has a train in it! Choo-choo!

Note: The following is unedited b-roll footage. It is meant to be chopped up into little bits for a larger segment and has not undergone the traditional editing process of a trailer.

The first one didn't know who their demographic was. It was aimed at kids, but the game was f@#$ing hard and complex I couldn't even get through it... wonder which way they will go with this one?

My wife and some of her friends were addicted to this like CRACK. They had the strat guide for how to breed them and get the variants and such... i think Murdoc below is right on the demographic issue... It's definitely a tough game (especially without the strat guide since a lot of the combos are entirely non-obvious)...

Because they need games like this to be successful, in order to compete better with Sony and Nintendo.
