MS Spring Showcase: Banjo Kazooie Footage

11
First there were screenshots, then there was an official name and gameplay details. Now there is gamepay footage of Rare's Xbox 360 platformer Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, which is due out in November.

Note: The following is unedited b-roll footage. It is meant to be chopped up into little bits for a larger segment and has not undergone the traditional editing process of a trailer.

It will give gathering a more meaningful purpose rather than just collecting coins, I think it’s a awesome idea.

      Gona be awesome.

Ya a bit I can see that, but thats cool, I love the sorta push for adding allot of physics in games its about time makes the game very organic and seem not static.

Yeah, that could be neat, esp. since it's like exploring/collecting to gain items which you then use to unlock new areas, if you think to use them in the right way on your vehicle. I love the way games like Zelda and Metroid let you gain new abilities which unlock new areas that were there all along. Adding a puzzle element to that unlocking, if that's what this game is doing, will probably be really cool.

Gotta say the graphics don't do much for me in this video. Textures look really washed out and repetitive, and things don't seem to mesh together in any kind of organic way. (Maybe that is on purpose as it looks like the trees etc. are made of metal or paper or something. Maybe the video/compression is making things look worse than they are, too.)
