anyone else think the depth-of-field effect is getting a little bit over used? Not just for this game, but in general.
Instead of giving the illusion that the bottom of the tower was really far down, it looks like it was being viewed with a macro lens and that the building is actually quite small.

Either way I wanna try this game.

Looks like a lot of us might be getting it just to see what the heck the game is ACTUALLY LIKE TO PLAY. :P

Developers like Codemasters think that blurring out the whole scene realistically makes the players concentrate on the action in front of them (plus you can hide the low polied detail behind the blur for performance). All this 'mega blur' does is that it draws attention to the blurring when the game feels like it was made up of just small room you are in at the moment.

So yeah, it's not going anywhere. I haven't played a single game where developers haven't gone crazy with blur or DOF effects.
