Pitfall Swinging to Wii This Fall

To borrow a phrase I learned earlier today: I'd rather rub a steaming pile of shit over my face than play this game.

Hmmm, I dunno Dave. How about letting developers create some new IPs instead of rehashing the same 15 Activision owned IPs every god damn motherfuckin' year? Would it really bring Activision to its knees to let this happen? God I hate this industry sometimes. I'm just fuming thinking about the douchebag Activision producers who greenlit this gem.

FUCK. I truly hate this industry some days.

I really dig the style of this. It's how I always imagined Harry ever since the 2600.
Funny aside, I see a 3DFx style colour pattern on the graphics. Reminds me of old school games from 98 or so. :D

They should do a updated version of the original called PITFALL EXTREME!! with multiple neon pink scorpions flying in from all directions and exploding into vibrant shards of pure energy.

This looks fucking sad.

I remember Pitfall on the Atari 2600 and Commodore 64. One notable thing about it is that while playing the game there was a very noticible Activision logo at the bottom of the screen. It stayed there the whole time and I guess it would have been the very first or one of the very firsts uses of in-game advertising.

I'll play it. I loved my atari pitfall.

and after playing some Zack & Wiki with my 4 year old, I think another puzzler could be just the ticket.

Has there been a Pitfall since the Atari days?

I still have my Pitfall (mayan adventure) disc lying around for the PC. Game was kickass.. in 2D. 3D shift means more Mario 3D or Tom Raider like elements which completely kills the challenges or just plain fun which was present in side scrollers back then. I don't like the shift, but then again, I don't have any console and am a pure PC gamer, don't really care even if they made it in 4D..
