Pitfall Swinging to Wii This Fall
by Chris Faylor, May 12, 2008 9:52am PDTA new entry in the classic action-adventure series Pitfall will be released on the Wii this fall, publisher Activision has revealed.
Titled Pitfall: The Big Adventure and developed by Pitfall: The Lost Expedition (PS2, Xbox, GCN) veteran Edge of Reality, the game is said to incorporate motion-sensitive controls with reptile dodging, vine swinging, and clever puzzles across its 60 levels.
"What could be more fun than using the Wii Remote to swing on a vine over blood thirsty crocodiles as retro-cool Pitfall Harry," pondered Activision representative Dave Oxford.
First released on the Atari 2600, Pitfall represents one of Atari's longest-running franchises.

Hmmm, I dunno Dave. How about letting developers create some new IPs instead of rehashing the same 15 Activision owned IPs every god damn motherfuckin' year? Would it really bring Activision to its knees to let this happen? God I hate this industry sometimes. I'm just fuming thinking about the douchebag Activision producers who greenlit this gem.
"Moving forward, we're going to think outside the box on this one and leverage Pitfall's synergy with our core demographic as well as a nice broad base of gamers who may like the nostalgia factor of revisiting their favorite games."
FUCK. I truly hate this industry some days.

Funny aside, I see a 3DFx style colour pattern on the graphics. Reminds me of old school games from 98 or so. :D
