Race Driver: GRID PC Demo Released

Following the release of a Race Driver: GRID demo for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, a demo for the PC version is available now as well. A 894mb download, the PC demo also includes three tracks and three cars.

Race Driver: GRID will be released for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS next month.

Loving it!

This Ego engine is kick ass. Running at 1920x1200 (everything set to max) and it runs smooth as buttock.

Nice speed feeling.

Game rocks, played with a Saitek p880 game pad. Best graphics to date on any race game and runs super smooth on Ultra settings even with 20 other cars on screen. 5.1 sound works well and Multiplayer was just what I have been looking for, easy getting online to play and stable. Infact the game it's self is rock solid all the way around. I'm on Vista 32bit/2GB ram/e6700@3.5ghz/8800GTX@650-1650-2100.

Seeing the game in motion is a joy. T-boning an opponent into a wall and totaling him out in multiplayer was pretty damb fun as well, lol.

I and many, many others will grab this one. I think it has secure rom and not that awfull Starforce crap for protection.

This is a great game! With all the slagging off this game is getting on here about the controls, I`m here to defend it. I use a 360 controller with it and it controls great. Maybe it`s setup for the 360 controller spot on and not for other controllers but this is a great game and I`ve just preordered it because of this demo. Wasn`t going to buy it before.

Also you really shouldn`t try and play racing games with a keyboard. The 360 controller doesn`t cost that much.

OK, after reading some of the -ve comments on here, I wasn't looking forward to trying this out much, but ITS GREAT!!!

I have a G25 wheel which probably makes a big difference, but I really enjoyed the demo! I can't drift for the life of me, but the racing was excellent. The graphics, sound, car models, force feedback, menus, everything was really impressive!

I play rFactor, DiRT and ToCA3 too, and this is NOT a true sim by any stetch of the imagination, but it is great fun, and that's what counts to me. After all, that's what games are for isn't it?

Really sorry you keyboard guys are not enjoying this very much, but that is kind of expected IMHO. Driving games need a wheel or good pad for best experience.

Can't wait for the full release :D

I continue to be quite happy to see big games released across all three platforms (ps3, 360, pc). This is a a good thing. If PC gaming is pitched as a hardcore console then I think the PC gaming platform will continue to do very well.

Played the 360 demo last night for about 5 minutes and got so frustrated with the floaty driving I had to quit. I didn't feel connected to the road at ALL, which is probably why I had such a hard time staying on it. Might be something wrong with me. I really wanted to like this game, but gaw... doesn't feel right at all.
