Encore includes 15 levels on a new map, "Toki Island", as well as the ability for players to track their score across both maps. The Good-
The movement feels great. Fans of Timesplitters will feel at home with the same smooth controls and natural feel. Only two weapons in the demo but both felt and sounded very good. As someone mentioned though, you get the same exact zoom reticule on both weapons. Evidently this is the helmet function and not the weapons but it still makes it feel too samey.
The Not-so-good-
Dialogue is typical action flick, machismo shithead stuff. Yes, I get it, they're jacked up on dope. It'still no excuse for unoriginal, unfunny, generic writing. I.E., what was supposed to be a riveting emotional death scene had me hitting the "start" button in hopes that I could skip it. Graphics seem quite far from what we've been shown in the PR media. Its not bad but it isn't anywhere near Halo 3 or CoD4. No vehicle in demo. The length was quite short.
I'm a huge shooter fan but this simply didn't do anything for me. Unless the reviews reveal something to the contrary, I'll probably just rent this seemingly average game.
