Sony Claims GTA 4 DLC Likely on PS3

The thing that agitates me is when the new systems were all about to come out, I chose to get a PS3 mainly because I spend most of my gaming time playing the GTA Series and when Grand Theft Auto III first came out it was a PS2 exclusive and then even when XBox started getting them, they always came out on Playstation first, so, since GTA was the game that was most important to me, it seemed logical to get a PS3. Then, a couple days after I bought my PS3 Take Two signed a contract with Microsoft saying that they were making 2 full games that take place in liberty city for super cheap as DLC for the X-Box Live Arcade. It made me kind of mad, as I had always considered X-Box the halo system and Playstation the GTA system, but I'm pretty sure the DLC was a direct effort to turn that notion into a misconception.

If Sony knows what they're doing they'll either:
A.) Wait until Microsoft's contract ends and then sign their own contract with take two where they make 2 more totally different Liberty City Episodes to be Playstation Network Exclusives

or

B.) Pull what Microsoft did and hit Take Two up super early for a contract promising exclusive DLC for GTA 5 after it comes out.


Otherwise, when the GTA 5 DLC is announced to be on X-Box AGAIN, gamers everywhere are going to be selling their PS3s to Gamestop to get some money twoards their new X-Box 360

Funny how it was "comsumers don't care about DLC because GTA IV has so much to do already" before the launch. Now that Sony got poked in the eye with the higher sales for X360 in their claimed territories they are back to talking out their ass defensive mode trying to take the steam out of the biggest pull of the X360 version over theirs. Once again Sony marketing geniuses have made a comment that will haunt them in the very near future when PS3 fans realize this was just rectally inserted smoke.

Sony need to stop talking shit and crying wolf and actually deliver some results if they want us to pay attention to what they say. Stop promising things and slagging off the competition and DO SOMETHING.

Have the details surrounding MS's exclusivity been announced yet ? Is it timed (I assume it is). I'd be surprised if the PS3 doesn't get the DLC at some point in the future. I have the feeling it's going to be really big, so hopefully everybody gets to play it all.

If they do get DLC, it won't be the same stuff XBOX owners get. I'm pretty sure MS paid for exclusive DLC, so if it's something else I would imagine it would be cross-platform DLC to recoup the development costs.

The fact that a single new vehicle and an entire new city would both count as DLC plays in Sony's favor a lot as long as details on the 360 exclusive DLC goes unannounced. Of course the PS3 version will get DLC. But will it be typical $5-10 DLC with a few new vehicles and weapons rather than a semi-expansion pack like the 360 version could be?
